Installation is simple thanks to the tool-free design. Simply open the enclosure, insert your SATA HDD or SSD, close the enclosure, connect the USB cable and power adapter, and you're ready to use it. Its plug-and-play functionality means no additional drivers are required on supported operating systems.
The UGREEN 30849 supports drives with capacities of up to 20TB, making it suitable for users who need large amounts of storage for documents, videos, photos, backups, games, and other files. It can also be used with compatible gaming consoles such as PS5, PS4, PS4 Pro, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 for additional storage and entertainment applications.
For better durability and drive protection, the enclosure features a sturdy ABS housing, soft rubber strips for shock protection, and ventilation openings for improved heat dissipation. Its automatic sleep mode helps reduce unnecessary power consumption and can contribute to a longer lifespan for the connected drive.
The enclosure is compatible with Windows 11/10/8.1/7, Linux and macOS 8.0 or later. Please note that the included DC power adapter must be connected when using the enclosure, and the hard drive/SSD is not included in the package.
